About the Farmers - "Manos de Mujer" means “Hands of Women”, and this beautifully produced coffee comes from 15 farms owned by women in Marcala Honduras. Besides producing excellent coffee, they also diversify their crops to provide additional forms of income and nourishment for themselves and their communities. We are as proud to support their efforts as we are to offer their coffee because this is one of those rare opportunities where all that is good about coffee intersect - organic farm management practices, traceable to women producers, a protected designation of origin (DENOMINACION DE ORIGEN CAFE DE MARCALA), and meticulous post-harvest standards of hand-sorting cherries for optimal fermentation and drying times.
