Happy New Year! 2026 is here, and the crowd is… excited? Nervous? Or a secret third thing … tired. We’re only about two weeks into the new year, which means there’s still plenty of time to keep up with your resolutions or quietly ride out the rest of the long, cold January with a warm drink in hand. Lucky for you, we have a new roast to offer and teas to highlight in honor of National Hot Tea Month. Whatever your choice, there are plenty of ways to set new intentions for a healthier, better you.
Dry January
Dry January is a time when people decide to take a break from drinking after the holidays. While it’s not an obligatory part of the month, it can still be difficult. Alcohol is a part of most social gatherings or is often used to unwind after a long day, which means drinking can easily become routine. It’s a norm many people don’t want to feel left out of, but self-care is becoming the new norm. That’s why many are opting for non-alcoholic beverages or choosing other kinds of delicious drinks altogether.
Be sure to look out for the next Hotlist menu and follow our Instagram for recipe videos. Who knows—making delicious drinks at home might become part of your new routine for the new year.
The Tea on National Hot Tea Month
There’s an irony in January being both “Dry January” and National Hot Tea Month. It almost feels like a sign to swap alcohol for a nice, warm cup of tea. Hot Tea Month was first established in 1950 by the Tea Council of the USA, but tea itself has been around since 2737 BCE—over 4,700 years (guess you could say it’s a hot commodity).
And for good reason. Tea has a lot of benefits, many of which depend on the type of tea. Green tea is great for energy, peppermint tea can help with nausea, and chamomile tea is known for its calming properties. Like coffee beans, there’s a wide range of flavors to choose from—and lucky for you, we have options right here.
New Roast and a big new goal
Java Love is proud to release a brand-new roast. Say hello to Selva Verde Caranavi. This new medium roast was grown in the mountains of the Caranavi region in Bolivia. It’s chocolate-forward, with sweet and creamy notes that create a warm, complex cup of coffee. As always, we’re proud to share that this roast is organically grown and direct trade certified.
The Selva Verde roast isn’t the only announcement we have, though—2026 marks 15 years of Java Love.
After 15 years, we figured it’s time to go big. That’s why our goal is to reach 15,000 followers across our platforms to expand our reach—and more importantly, our community.
