ORIGIN
Grown by 30 producers of the APCERL cooperative in the Caranavi region of Bolivia. This coffee is grown on the eastern slopes of the Andes, bordering the Amazon’s Madidi National Park—one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. These small farms practice regenerative agroforestry, growing coffee under a natural forest canopy rather than clearing land. The upper mountain remains wild, the mid-slope is planted with shade-grown coffee, and only the lower areas are lightly managed. The result: beans that literally grow in the forest.

With support from Café Kreyol and the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), producers protect upper-canopy habitat, maintain Smithsonian Bird Friendly and Organic certifications, and safeguard hundreds of native species. Shade trees stabilize soil, store carbon, and create a resilient ecosystem that benefits both wildlife and farmers.

Careful, hand picking, washing, and drying ensure a consistently sweet, chocolatey flavor profile - quality that earns these farmers up to 300% above fair-trade minimums.

A thoughtful cup with a purpose: coffee that protects forests, supports farming families, and helps a fragile ecosystem thrive – Drink good. Do good.
