Java Love is a proud supporter of the local arts and being a Montclair based company means getting involved. That’s why we’re proud that this is our 11th year sponsoring the annual Montclair Film Festival as the official coffee! For those unfamiliar, the Montclair Film Festival is a community based event showcasing films from a wide range of filmmakers while also facilitating artistically driven conversations at the various theaters around Montclair.
The Festival originally started in 2012 and has grown over the years into a vibrant gathering of filmmakers, members of the industry and film enjoyers alike. This year's film maker tribute will be Spike Lee, an incredibly notable storyteller a part of the film history canon. Besides spotlighting creatives, the non profit has also used its growth to give back to the very community that has shown up year after year. Montclair Film took over operations of The Claridge theater back in 2021 and its subsequent success aided in the decision to reopen The Bellevue theater after its closure in 2017. The Bellevue will be open for the film fest and fully operational in early November.
Festivals like Montclair Film not only support the arts but bring the community together and those are two things we value at Java as well. It’s why we’re elated to have our coffee be served at the event and we hope it starts a conversation or two. I know we can’t wait for the festival, can you?
