How to Make Cold Brew at Home Using a French Press

There’s nothing better than enjoying a refreshing cold brew on a hot summer day and making it at home is not only easy, it’s a ritual worth savoring. With just your favorite Java Love coffee and a French Press, you can craft the perfect chilled pick-me-up, right in your own kitchen. And save money too!

And the benefits go beyond flavor! Cold brew is naturally lower in acidity than traditional hot coffee, making it gentler on the stomach while still delivering a smooth, bold caffeine boost. It stays fresh in the fridge for days, so you can pour yourself a glass whenever the mood strikes.

So why not take five minutes today to start your own cold brew ritual? Your future self will thank you.

What you’ll need

1. Add the coffee
Place 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee into your French press.

2. Pour in the water
Add 4 cups of cold, filtered water. Stir gently to make sure all the grounds are saturated.

3. Steep overnight
Put the lid on (don’t press down yet!) and place the French press in the fridge. Let it steep for 12–16 hours.

4. Press and pour
After brewing, press down slowly and pour the cold brew into a jar or bottle.

5. Serve it your way
Cold brew is strong! Dilute with water, milk, or your favorite creamer. Serve over ice and enjoy!

At Java Love, we believe great coffee moments can happen anywhere, even in your own kitchen.
