Java Love is all about compassion and unity at the core. So for this Valentine’s Day we thought of our Java Lovers and on February 12th from 10am-11pm joined forces with The New York City Sewing Company to host our first ever Sip N’ Sew. The NYC sewing company housed the event in their gorgeous Montclair location where they taught the guests how to embroider conversation hearts on small pieces of fabric.
During the event, there was a coffee bar with three featured drinks. One drink was “Chocolate Covered Strawberry” which was a cold brew topped with strawberry mocha cold foam and heart shaped sprinkles. The second drink was “A Dozen Roses” which was coffee with rose and vanilla topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. The third drink was a fan favorite called “Brunt Love” which was coffee with strawberry and toasted marshmallow topped with cocoa powder.
The event took place over 3 hours, with as much access to the best coffee around as you can take! That’s why we called it Sip N’ Sew. For those who weren’t able to finish up their craft, they were given beads to take home and complete later thanks to the NYC Sewing Company.
Two influencers joined us for this event, Rachel Joy and Karla Paulino. We plan to host more events as the spring begins to tie the community together. Stay up to date on all of our future experiences on our Instagram and TikTok.
