Looking Back at 15 Years of Java Love

Looking Back at 15 Years of Java Love

A Small Business Week Reflection

Fifteen years ago, Java Love started with a simple idea: create a space where people could gather, slow down, and enjoy really good coffee. We never could have imagined just how much that small idea would grow, or how many people would become part of the story along the way.

As we celebrate both our 15th year and Small Business Week, we’ve been reflecting on what it really means to be a small business.

Being a small business means wearing a lot of hats. It means early mornings, late nights, figuring things out as you go, and learning to adapt constantly. It means taking risks, staying creative, and continuing to show up even during uncertain moments. There’s nothing “small” about the amount of work, heart, and resilience that goes into building something from the ground up.

But it also means something much bigger than business.

Over the years, Java Love has become part of people’s routines, first dates, meetings, study sessions, catch-ups, celebrations, and everyday moments. We’ve watched friendships form across café tables, customers become regulars, and regulars become family. That kind of connection is something unique to small businesses.

We’ve also seen firsthand how important community support is. Every time someone chooses to shop local, share a post, leave a review, recommend us to a friend, or stop in for their morning coffee, it genuinely makes a difference. Small businesses survive because people choose to support them.

Over the last 15 years, we’ve learned that growth isn’t only measured in numbers. It’s measured in relationships, consistency, trust, and the ability to keep evolving while staying true to who you are. We’re incredibly grateful to still be here doing what we love after all these years. Not every small business gets to say that, and we don’t take it for granted.

To everyone who has supported Java Love over the years, thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just recently found us, you’ve helped shape what Java Love is today.

And during Small Business Week, we encourage everyone to continue supporting local businesses in your communities. Behind every small business is a story, a team of people working hard, and a dream that someone decided to take a chance on.

We’re proud to still be brewing 15 years later.
