Reduce Waste this July

Plastic Free July is a shared global movement that helps millions of people reduce plastic waste through simple, everyday choices and be part of the solution to plastic pollution. Through this initiative, Plastic Free July has avoided over 15 million tons of plastic waste. At Java Love, we support their mission and encourage our customers to participate as well. Whether you learn about it here or in our stores, we hope you share our simple practices with family and friends to help grow sustainability in our community!

Reusable Straws

We offer a $0.10 discount on any drink order when you bring a reusable straw. Reusable straws are very inexpensive and would pay for themselves in a couple of visits to Java Love. They are also great to have for drinks like smoothies at home!

Bring Your Own Cup

Reusable coffee tumblers and travel mugs are an affordable alternative to everyday single-use plastic. If you bring one into our stores, you will be charged for the price of a small drink. Travel mugs are super convenient if you’re on the go or heading to work. You probably already have one in your house somewhere, and if you don’t, you can pick up our super cute Reusable Tumbler with a Straw from our online store!

Coffee Jars

Instead of buying your coffee beans for home in a bag you’ll end up throwing out, bring in any reusable container and get a full pound of coffee for the price of 12 ounces. It can be a Tupperware, a mason jar, or anything you have around the house!

Dining In

Enjoying your drink in the shop? Tell our baristas you’d like a cup “for-here” and they’ll give you a ceramic or glass cup!

These are all opportunities to reduce our single-use plastic waste in small ways and contribute to a larger impact. Especially if you’re coming in frequently for your morning coffee or afternoon pick-me-up, small investments in reusable products can make a difference! We can’t directly control the environmental damage that large corporations cause, but we can be more considerate of our everyday actions and routines to choose more sustainable solutions. Join us in supporting Plastic Free July this month to help reduce the environmental impact of single-use plastics and create a cleaner, more beautiful community!
